Weiss Chemie + Technik is going to show interesting solutions at Bau 2019

At this worldwide leading trade fair, Weiss is going to show many interesting and innovative solutions of the two business areas Adhesives and Composite panels as well as cleaning agents made by Pudol.

Business area Adhesives

The family of bio-based adhesives and cleaning systems is growing up and thriving and with COSMO® PU-200.900, they will soon get their fifth member.

With COSMO® PU-200.900, Weiss is presenting a newly developed 2-C-PUR reaction adhesive with a percentage of bio-based carbon that is an environmental-friendly solution especially for structural bonding, e.g. for bonding of corner angles of aluminium windows and doors. This is also for the reason why this PUR adhesive is not suspected of being carcinogenic and with this, it does not need an H351 (R40) hazard labelling according to the GHS-System (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals).

For bonding of corner angles for the construction of aluminium windows and doors, there are three further variants of adhesive, based on epoxy, polyurethane and STP-hybrid, with individual advantages, available that do not need the H351 (R40) label.

Similarly, the product range of STP hybrid assembly adhesives which has been steadily extended within the last years and especially the new 2-C-STP hybrid adhesives, and the wide range of solutions of COSMO® adhesives in the field of Airtight Bonding, will be promising topics for the business area of adhesives at the Bau 2019.

Business Area Composite panels

With the successfully tested A2-fire protection element COSMO® Tech - Alu, Weiss is now offering more safety in fire protection for the indoor and outdoor area of a building project. The cover sheet of aluminium, as well as the core made of mineral fibre insulation material, are non-flammable. The element meets the requirements of the fire protection standard as per DIN EN 13501-1, result: A2 (non-flammable); s1 (no/hardly any generation of smoke); d0 (no dropping off/falling off). The tests took place at the LNE (Laboratoire National De Métrologie Et D'essais).

Further interesting topics from the business area composite panels will include the heat insulated composite panels COSMO® Therm for the profile and frame widening in the window construction.

Also exiting is COSMO® Tech - Quick Tape, the self-adhesive hard-foam board for various applications, e.g. in the field of sun protection technology for roller shutter housings.

Pudol cleaning agents

The subsidiary Pudol introduces the Rapid Cleaner, a particularly effective cement residue remover. This is an ideal solution for the final cleaning of buildings, as well as cleaning of stone and concrete façades. More than 98% of the surfactants used are biologically degradable and make the Rapid Cleaner to be an environmentally-friendly product that should not be missed in the cleaning of buildings.
